About

I like to think about the role of the photographer as author and creator on the one hand, and transcriber of an already-extant reality on the other. In that way it's a bit like the question of free will; I feel like somewhat of a free agent in the world but I also know that my personality, choices, and circumstances are forged by the interconnected web of life that brought me, kicking and screaming, into this existence, and over which I ultimately have little, if any control.
